Is it free to sign up and list my space?
Yes! It's free to sign up and list your space with Prked, and it always will be.
Who can be a space owner?
It's easy to become a Prked space owner, and it's always free to create a listing. To join us you'll need to own, or have access to, a parking space (driveway, garage, lot) or storage space (basement, shed, warehouse). If you rent the space yourself, you'll need to get permission from the landlord. We aren't able to rent out spaces that are on a street and managed by a local council. If your space requires a permit, key, fob, or access code - that's fine. You'll just need to tell us the details when you sign up.
How much should I charge for my space?
The price you charge for your space is completely up to you. If you're unsure, you can search for comparable listings in your area to get an idea of market prices. If you want some help, we have tools that match your prices with demand, ensuring a great price for every booking.
Do I need to be at home when the renter arrives?
You don't need to be at home when the renter arrives. We've designed the process to be hassle-free. As long as you've provided the renter with all the instructions they need to find or access your space, they should be able to get started right away!
Does my space need to be available all the time?
Your space doesn't have to be available 24/7. You can set it to be available on certain days of the week only – and you can add or remove availability on certain days if it's a short-term change. Use your availability settings to tell us when renters can access your space and when they can't.
How can I be a great space owner?
If a renter has a great experience using your space, they'll come back for more! There are a few things you can do to make sure they have a 5* experience: Create a brilliant listing. Make sure your listing description and additional instructions are crystal clear, and upload a couple of photos. This will help renters have a seamless experience. Respond quickly to messages. Our renters really appreciate good communication from space owners. If they're waiting for a reply from you, chances are they'll book a space elsewhere. Keep your calendar up to date. If you're going on holiday or expecting guests at the weekend, remember to update your availability for those specific dates. Say hi if you see them. This is definitely optional! But if you happen to be around when the renter arrives at your space, there's no harm in giving them a friendly wave.
